Diameter Of Exhaust System

i'm currently in the process of searching and planing my new exhaust system.

 

What inner diameter does the stock tailpipe have? The hose between manifold and cat....

 

And what diameter is the rest of the system?

The downpipe is 2.5" (63.5mm), not sure what the rest of the system is but I'd hazard a guess at 2" (50.8mm).

GTI6 with newman cams (tarmac rally sprint), ported head, revs somewhere between 7600 and 8000.

target power about 185-195bhp.

 

i dont want to limit my engine with the exhaust, the price is no argument because the exhaust parts for 2.5" aren't much higher.

Sounds pretty close to my engine, I'm running a 2.5" system from the GTi6 manifold back to a 2.5" tip on the silencer. Works very nicely.
