Driveshaft Inner Joint Different?

just been to the motor factors for a 1600 driveshaft --only problem is the one they claim is right has a smooth inner joint without the 3recesses

also the cv gaiter goes inside the joint not out like the original[1300 maybe??]

any ideas??

That sounds like a base model driveshaf to me, i.e for the MA gearbox.

yep thats it -just mines a n/s one but yes the inner joint looks like that!

Quite normal for pattern shafts, For a 1.6 shaft get a GKN one from GSF

I have seen 1.6 shafts of that type, so they may well be correct, but its wise to do as Miles suggests
