I was up that way yersterday picking up a Golf GTi in a red F reg 1600 GTi but dont think I was there that late

Were u at that spot. I might got reg wrong. But surely was red 1.6 for sure.

I spotted a manky, piece of s*it looking, white GTI in London last weekend. Looked like it was abondoned.

 

OK, so it was mine, to be fair

I spotted a 205 from miles away on the way back from Swindon today, sped up to get to it, thinking it was a white GTI and it was a bloody 205 Trio with a granny in it! I gave her a wave and a cheeky smile anyway!

Yes mate - not parked up though - just shot through to pick a car up from a guy in Cheadle. Mines bog standard with pepper pots, now in near mint condition even though I say it myself
