whats wrong with your existing car? It's all very well getting rid and buying a new one but you're just buying someone else's problems at the end of the day.

Better the devil you know and all that.

Passenger side headlamp looks pissed and the front bumper looks slightly low to me, other than that it looks OK. Obviously we can't see the underside or the engine bay, so you can't be too sure until you see it.

Yep, from that i reckon it's had a front ender and been poorly repaired.

I see where your coming from, I think my main problem is I lack the time nowadays to fix the issues.

If you are in Hampshire, I would get it along to Miles for his professional eye to be cast over it. He could tell you if you are flogging a dead horse or not. just imagine, you will clean it up, take some pics, put it on Pistonheads..... just like that white one!

I doubt £800 is going to get you a gti without 'issues' of some kind!

Or if it hasn't, it won't be that way for long.

These cars are getting on a bit and £800 is pretty cheap for any car, let alone a sporty hatch! You might get a few years trouble free use out of a 1.3 fiesta or 1.1 106 at that price but you need to be realistic about what you can get for your budget.
