Choke Light Not Working

Hey my choke light on the dash binacle doesnt work, anyone got any ideas as to why this may be?? I have checked behind the choke lever and the yellow wire is pluged in there. Oh yeh its an 89 xs if that helps. thanks

Connect the yellow wire thats goes to the ckoke to a good earth point, switch on ignition and the lamp on the dash should light up.

If it does not then its a faulty lamp.
