Door Hinge Pin Removal Tool.

Recommended Posts

d7ve_b

I have some new hinge pins to sort out my sagging O/S door and am considering fitting them myself. The only thing that's putting me off is spending the best part of £20 on a roll pin removal tool that I am only realistically going to use once. Does anyone have one that they would be willing to lend me?

Cheers,

Dave.

an allen key, a nail, any bar of metal and a hammer will do mate.

you sure your hinge isn't worn instead?

the bit that's welded to the chassis :)

I take it I'd just string these together and hammer them through then? Assuming they stay together :)

As in the inside of the hinge where the pin sits? It could be but I suppose I wouldn't really know until the pin is out? When I lift the outer edge of the door up it looks to rock on the pins...

The hinges do wear out, i was thinking of drilling a new hole the size of the PH2 pins to slide in nicely. Although im not sure how to make sure the dill makes a straight line hole ??
