Bought A Car...and Its Not A Peugeot

Hi All

 

Well i bought myself a cheap car at the weekend to hopefully restore and get road worthy again.

 

its a audi 80 coupe 2.3

 

heres a few pics

its going to take a bit of work but im just gonna take my time with it. im just glad i have a car i can tinker about with again.

well its been stood for six months so heres a list of the main stuff.

 

new discs and pads all round.

 

drivers lock and boot lock need some attention( there must of been a problem with them and then the previous owner made it worse, there seems to be a bit missing from the boot lock, and the drivers door lock isnt working at all so needs opening from inside the car).

 

electrics for drivers window need sorting.

 

drivers seat is a mess

 

body work needs some tlc but cant see this being a big job.

 

apart from that it seems fine. started up straight away with the jump leads and the engine still seems really strong

at least its not a 2.0 8v auto, a friend had one and it was soooooo slow!

 

it also had completely shot dampers and it was bloody funny watching it going down the road towing a caravan, the front would bob up and down constantly :D

A mate's had a couple i've really liked, the 20v Quattro with full stainless system was awesome!

yea i was suprised at how well it actually sounded. feels a bit big compared to driving my old 205 though ha

This looks nice! Reminds of a neighbours in a Miami blue back in the 90's.
