Chris sorry to see your damage. The wings still look reasonably straight though, so it may well be repairable.

Moby, we don't talk in text speak on here buddy. Please type in full text.

Cheers tom , drivers wing is ok but passengers has been pushed out and the sealant above both doors has split quite badly. 106 came off very lightly from what i could see.

that's quite normal, but do check that the passenger door still fits and opens fine, if so there's a good change it's still straight.

Im pretty gutted but it has a nice agree value on it which helps. If they decided to sell it back nice and cheap i may think about doing something with it but not sure yet. just hoping my arm is ok as i have had pins and needles all day, whats happening with the look then ?

At the moment I'm using it as a shed- I did prep it for mot, then started nicking small bits for the red GTi. I'm being characteristically non comittal on it at present :) .Apparently scrap prices are high at present........

People do drive like twats in work vehicles, should make you more liable on a company vehicle if you cause an accident.

You may be "lucky" - the passenger wing was not bonded on IIRC which is prob why it is sticking out, and most likely has moved back more than usual to foul the door? Hope the arm's ok , hate to think this ruins your sex life :) :) still, if the hand goes numb.........

have you got feeling in the arm/hand still? or has this dulled down alot? pins and needles are often the sign of nerves joining back up. i suspect that you have stretched a nerve somwhere, get down to the doctors and get fully checked out. they'll probably perscribe something like diclofenac for it.

I've had alot of nerve damage in the past and know what a pain in the ass it can be, at the moment i'm waiting for my foot to start working again after they put a new nerve in the leg (which they took from my other leg) after i ripped the old one.

i hope you start to feel better soon buddy, and i hope that the car is repairable too. as its a claim against someone is there not a rule that you can insist that it gets fully repaired? even if they want to write it off? (i'm not 100% on that so an insurance bod from here will have to confirm)

For some reason I always thought I 106 would come off worse in a straight crash like that.

I suppose it's because they're a slightly newer design but the 205 just looks... Harder!

UPDATE

yeah hand is feeling slightly numb and fizzy if you know what i mean, i went to the hospital yesterday and they said it is the muscles in my neck swelling and trapping the nevres to my arm, so im hoping it will get better. also have a painful seat belt bruise now.

The guy that caused the accident is not admitting responsibility for the crash and the police are not pressing charges so looks like this is going to get messy and probably end up costing me money.

My insurance company are saying i did not have a agreed value even tho i asked them for one and they agreed to it. i have also been advised to claim on my own insurance to speed things up and claim from the third party at a later date. does this sound normal ????

If anyone has any evidence of what similar 205s have sold for then please let me know as i am sure they are going to try and screw me. i feel like i am being treated as the guilty party even tho i am the one who did not cause the accident, ended up getting hurt and not being able to work and losing my car.

Chris, I've just picked up a '92 J for 1300. It's a cat C repaired from 2007 after an altercation with a Labrador. Don't know if this helps you with a value or not. The insurance paid out £900, but it was repaired for £650. Seems that insurance companies are too quick to "right off" older cars nowadays.

As for an agreed value. Not sure what type of policy you have, but I've got a classic policy and I queried them about an agreed value and was told that I would have to submit photographic evidence before they would set one.

Hope things work out well for you. And as timb said, diclofenac is pretty good. Though try and avoid cocodamol as this bungs you up and diazapam as that has a real negative affect on ones libido!
