Wiring Gasket Fitting Fit Fail

Recommended Posts

Batfink

Another weekend working on the car and its been annoying. Parts have not arrived for me to fit the suspension and now the wire gasket is wrong.

Can anyone tell me what the correct size is for the manifold wire gasket?

I think its 65mm i.d (just a guess though, don't have one to hand to measure)

Bosal part number 256-781.

Timax part number is PGG30.

bpb do the PGK2 fitting kit at £3.48 + vat.

though I would be inclined to get one from Peugeot, 1798 80, they cost £11.84.

buy parts buy.

its not just a wire gasket, its the springs bolts washers cups locknuts and the gasket.

I've found aftermarket ones to be pretty s*ite to be frank, whereas the pug one I fitted is fine 15k on.

I can never work out where the 2 fibre washers go in these kits, I thought they should go in the cups but they don't fit :)

Against the downpipe flange to stop the springs from creaking, I always though they'd go in the cups too till recently :)
