Wishbone Rubbers

How do you get the smaller spring clip on the top of the wishbone rubber, everytime I push the rubber down the clip pops off???

Nope, got circlip pliers, if they are any use?

its a pain in the arse but it is doable. just stick at it, I did it with needlenose pliers in the end.
