Need To Rent A Trailer/dolly Etc Tomorrow

anyone help im buying myself another trackday 205 tomorrow and i was going to use a tow pole to get it back but i've just found out that the towing eye was cut from the car to fit a different front bumper and i cant use a rope as the brakes are needing sorted

 

im in bellshill, lanarkshire and looking to get something within 30 miles

 

any suggestions please

Push it out to the road, and then phone the RAC.

Front towing eyes just unbolt so take the bumper off and bolt on another.

 

That said you shouldnt tow a car with no brakes with a towing bar still, it should be treated as a rope and the rear car brakes.

and if you're towing it it also does and insurance too maybe?, the only way to move an un mot'd/taxed car and stay within the law in on a trailer

also FYI, towing dolly's and A' frames are both illegal. they are only for registered recovery vehicles when recovering a car.

personally if it had brakes i would drive it, show the new keeper supplement and say its getting transported to garage for repairs and mot

 

the bar isnt bad to use without brakes ok it can be a bit jumpy but no worse than using a rope

The car being towed is generally covered by the towing cars insurance.
