Hi guys just finishing off Damiens engine and need to get a new HT lead (It got damaged when he took the unit out of his 306) I have taken some pics of them to help identification.

The engine has bike bodies on it with KMS management and a KMS coil pack if that helps.

Can any one tell me what I need to order or get from the local factors

Cheers

Tris

Did & he didnt have a clue. The company that did it all for him yrs ago are no longer trading, hardly suprising though their work was rubbish ;)

Corsa 16v leads are certainly what you use in conjunction with a standard Bosch wasted-spark coilpack as found on most mid-90's Peugeot and Citroen's - however, given that it's a KMS coilpack they may not have the correct terminals.

If you've got a large Halfords near you, it might be worth having a look through the various HT leads boxes that they've got and see what you can find that'll fit, or atleast to confirm what the terminals are on the coilpack. They certainly normally have a pretty good selection in stock in my local branch.

Buy the longest lead (or one the correct length) from your motor factors, and crimp on the ends you have already. Easy.

Why use leads, Just use the std 306 coil pack, No messing then bar some tab's to be cut off

would mean getting a set of coil packs, would like to try and keep the old setup as it was tryed/tested and running problem free.

wouldnt it need a remap with a set of coils?

No the GTi6 coil's, Just the std Coil pack, same as the lead type but no leads if you see what I mean

one of these -

its a wasted spark unit, two coils with 4 outputs same as the KMS, just no separate leads, no need for a remap, plug I think might fit fine too, just confirm the pin order.

They fit GTi-6 heads with a little modification as Miles said, and from memory the pinout on them is the same as the usual XU/TU 8v wasted-spark coilpacks (I'd need to double-check though)

Pin out's the same or it is on the one I had, I cannot see why people want to use HT leads when these are off the shelf and look allot neater
