No Bonnet Stay....

My gti does'nt have a bonnet stay because where it held on to the strut has snapped off, now i dont have access to a welder and atm im having to use a length of wood to prop up with! any suggestions please?

If you varnish the wood it should last longer :D

drill and fit gas struts from a 106......there's some threads somewhere about it :D

Yeah thats what i took off they was crap

 

just do the old trick with the bonnet hinge

lock the hinge with a bolt so it stays up
