I've noticed someone on ebay has started selling MI PTFE Gaskets.

Are they worth using other than the fact I won't have to keep replacing them when I take the manifold off. Also didn't realise people used them on the Throttle body aswell, does heat soak actually get that far, worth while?

i was given some for the Clio; they've not achieved anything noticeable (other than a cooler-to-the-touch plenum). car's not been dyno'd. they may well suit other engines?

Don't bother with those ones, they're a bag of sh1t!

I got some simply because I was fed up of replacing the standard ones every time the inlet manifold had to come off (in my case quite often). After about 2k miles worth of use they had badly distorted and were starting to encroach into the inlet ports.

Rippthrough does some much higher quality ones that won't distort under heat and clamping pressure.
