Does Anyone Know About These Driving Lights?

Recommended Posts

Atari Boy

I bought these on eBay recently, I don't think they are OE ones but nor are they Denji (sp) ones either.

They look pretty robust and have 'SIM' market into the glass.

Anyone else have them or have seen them before?

Many thanks

Thanks Steve, Am I being thick or is there a trick to getting the front off the back, I have removed both screws but I still can't get them apart.

Am I missing something obvious?

So what do I need to do to get them open?

You could try heating them up? soften the sealant or cut thru it then reseal them?

I can't remember - but mine were rather old and prob. fell apart. I do know it can be done, though as I did it to colour the reflector. I still have a pair on my 1.1 and will try and take them apart over the next couple of days.

Right, I have now have the little monkeys open at last.

They don't come with any bulbs or wiring, just a small hold spring.

What do I need bulb wise and do I need anything else?

I know this was discussed recently on here but I can't find the thread - how bright bulb wise is sensible for 205 wiring?

many thanks

Jonny

The book of lies quotes H3 55w, is this correct still?

Also, looking on ebay, most non rude boy fake HID bulbs look simalar to these on eBay .

So will I need to fit a spade terminal to the back of the lights reflective bit to act as an earth?

the standard 205 wiring will have two female spades, one should have a plastic clip on cover to protect the positive connection to the fly lead from the H3 bulb.
