I have a standard 1.9 and an Esprit, and the article is really spot on with the comparison. They are, in many ways, surprisingly similar to drive - but if I was going for a quick blast then I would probably jump in the 205...

think id rather take the205 out on the great back roads around your way also.. I love the ballater to lecht road road. has every thing you want in a 205 sharp twisty corners and a fair bit of air time.lol

Because of this very article I traded my 1986 MR2 in for our local dealers "F" plate demonstrator and have never looked back.

Always loved Esprits, I aspire to own a V8 Twin Turbo one day, before the values go through the roof as they become proper classics.

Just glad I've already had the chance to own a 205 Gti (Even if it is just a little 1.6 :-) )
