Leaking Brake Line

Recommended Posts

muddatrucker

So my car has decided to throw up another fault! Ive sprung a leak just by my rear right wheel - I managed to drive 50 miles without full brakes, but I have to drive 3 hours to Brighton tonight!

Will hose tape act as a temporary measure if I wrap it round the hole/crack? I suspect not...

But anyway, where's the best place to buy a new brake line, fixing it looks easy enough.

Thank you.

is it leaking from a union, or from damage to the pipe?

personally, wouldn't trust any kind of tape fix, but there may be something you could do if it's leaking from a union

I've spoken to a work mate and he says its the slave cylinder and he'll change it for me along with the rubbers (if that makes sense, he's from Zimbabwe!) Where can I buy a replacement kit?
