Use a catch tank...

As said a catch tank is the way forward, normal has 2 pipe inlets for breathers and one oil return pipe outlet back down the sump, Catch tank is also used as the oil fill point as mine has a vented screw cap to elimate excess crank pressure and this is also where you pour the oil in for it to drain down to the sump. The 2 inlet pipes comes from the rocker cover and crank breather pipes, perfect and simple solution!

Thanks wardy that reply, still a little unsure about what to do, all my oil pipe work fits apart from the 2 pipes from the top of the oil filler cap that went to behind the airflow, are these the two i need to make a catch tank for and then a drain back to the sump. sorry my first project and im not realy a car buff so i im just not sure whats what.

last pic on this page, so does one not connect to anything then the other into a catch tank, but thats has no drain i take it, but is that basicly what i have to do?

thanks jean.

Literally get rid of all your current set up!

Look at your block and you will see two pipes sticking out on the front of the block, the lowest one which will be the biggest of the 2 is for your oil drain return and will connect to the bottom of the catch tank

the slightly smaller one above this stickin out the block is your crank breather, this will connect to one of the two pipes at the top of your catch tank

the next is the pipe stickin out of the top of your rocker cover, this will connect to the 2nd of the two pipes at the top of the catch tank

lastly, I forgot to mention before, your breather for the brake master cylinder will connect to your carbs inlet manifold which should have a pipe on each pair of ports!

Do a search for 205 webber and you should find loads of pics and maybe even a hose diagram or 2

good luck

Anyone know the od of the 2 spigots that come out at the front of the block low down?

The breather ones.

I'm looking to slightly re-do my pipe work as I think I may be pressurising the crank case inadvertantly.

You could, depending on where you mount your catch tank, use the original piping.

So the return from the top of the rocker cover will go down to the 't' piece in the oil filler pipe that is connected to the catch tank.

I just have a length of pipe going from the second tank outlet to air on my system which has never thrown anything out other than water vapour.

thanks again for the replys, i had done a search and there was alot of material on it but i was still left confussed, on my webbers side i knew that i had to take a vaccume of inlet manifold but there is only one pipe on the mainfold is this going to be a problem due to vaccume being take of one and not the other.

thansk jean
