Battery Rubbing On Air Flow Meter

Recommended Posts

SWINNEY

Has anyone ever had their air flow meter rubbing on the battery?

I replace the old battery and notice that it had been rubbing the air flow meter.

Now looking at the new one its starting to do the same as its tight up it

Ive made sure that the battery and air flow meter are installed correctly and everything looks ok

Could it be anything more sinister?

Thanks

Mark

Have you checked the AFM bracket that attaches to the battery tray? Mine rusted where it was bolted down and became flimsy. This could have happened which may have made it bend in towards the battery slightly. I have about a 1cm gap between my AFM and battery

Possibly the wrong size battery. I've used bigger batteries in mine and had them tight to the bulkhead side but there was still some room. Can you bolt or strap the afm so it's tighter to the front?
