hi can anyone help with a problem i have

I could not get my car to turn over or the fuel pump to prime until today its a peugeot 205gti 1.9

i plugged in the coil an now when turing the key to the 3rd position (to crank it over) the fuel pump now primes but it still wont crank the starter over!

i have checked the starter motor works and thats fine but no joy when on car?

it has 2 spade connectors on the starter and when fitted to back spade connector nothing! but if i connect it to the 1 on the front of the starter motor it will turn over on the 2nd key position????? any ideas? should the starter solinoid have 2 wires connected? other than the thick red power cable

it is the thick blue wire (number 46)

also does anyone know if these wires (red) and (yellow to white) should be connected to anything? they both lug in to the fuse board

Miles

Something majorly wrong there, the Fuel pump wire should only have 1 wire to it and not the 3 or 4 wires in the picture, Someone's been playing without any knowledge again.

Only way to find out is follow the wires back and referance it with the wiring diag.

Looking at the pics, has an immobiliser been removed at some time? looks to me that the easiest route would be to source an ignition switch loom from a scrapper and replace the lot!

the yellow wire which goes into the black with yellow connector is just looped back into a white wire then goes off into the harness i dont know why the connector has been added?

it seems the fuel pump and starter motor wires are the wrong way round
