Gti6 Starting Problem

Hi guys

 

dont know if anyone could give me a bit of an idea what might be wrong with my car. Since owning the car (5 weeks) its started and driven no problem at all.

 

This Sunday I used it all day with no isses. Decided to clean the car and then it wouldnt start? Its reluctent to fire then when you do get it going it seems alright untill you touch the throttle and it cuts out the 2nd you touch it?

 

 

I was pressure washing under the arches quite a bit an think i may of done something to it however no idea what. Ive taken the throttle sensor off and put back on but that hasnt done anything?

 

Could i possible of done something to the crank sensor etc?

 

 

Any ideas

Sounds like water has got into an electrical connector or something if it happened after washing it, did you wash under the bonnet? Water may be leaking through the scuttle or somewhere and getting at wiring that way.

No i didnt clean it under the bonnet but i did give the arches a good blasting with it. I will go and check all the connectors

Well im totay P***ED off. Ive spent all day trying to check every bloody connector and still no joy. The strange thing is the car fires up ticks over for about 10 seconds then cuts out? If you touch the throttle it instantly cuts out. Would any of the experts have any idea what it could be

Wheres ECU located on your car?????

 

Have you checked you have not got the big relay near ECU wet??????

hi guys

 

got to the bottom of why my bloody car wont run (been away with work for a few weeks so aint be able to get to the bottom of the problem

 

The fuel pump assembly is busted for some reason. Today I thought they would be cheap enough from Peugoet. However........................... £350 from Peugeot

 

Anyone have any idea where I could get one cheaper or anyone have one which is in good condition? I can see a couple on ebay for £40 but dont know if it will be broken either?

GSF do them at £43.50, just for the body that is you'll have to swap them into the housing.

 

not sure if the pump itself is compatible between PH1/1.5 and PH2, the PH2 type pump superseded the early pump.
