Saxo Vtr Shocks On 205

Hi Folks

 

Sorry if this has been covered in the past but I can't find a definite answer.

 

Its MOT time for my autotest '90 205 Gti and have a leaking rear shock.

 

A friend has offered me a set of Saxo VTR rear shocks and being new to Peugeots and the like. Will they physically fit on the 205 without any problems,he claims they will, but I'm not so sure.

 

Looking at various parts suppliers it appears there are some differences, ie part numbers are different.But are the open lengths, eye sizes etc etc similar enough to use them on the 205.

they also have the wrong size and offset bushes, and actually not much different in length.

Will save myself the hassle and just get the proper ones seems like too many differences to bother with.
