Does My 205 Have Central Locking Then?

I have an 1988 E 1.6 GTi, fitted with OE electric windows and a redundant after-market alarm. Whilst fiddling about with the innards of the tailgate I noticed a pin linking the lock mechanism to a small black box. Sorry terrible photo but with luck, you will get the idea....

 

 

My other 205 is totally standard in terms of extras so I have not come across central locking motors. Equally, when locking and unlocking the car, the door locks do not open the other door or tailgate.

 

Does my 205 have central locking and how would I go about getting it working again if it does?

It would appear so, that's definitely a locking motor.

 

Mine had it too but it never worked, i ended up fitting a maplins kit to the existing motors.

Out of interest have you checked the doors to see if they have motors?
