Wondered Why I Couldn't Get The Jack Under It...

Recommended Posts

I did wonder why I couldn't get the trolley jack under the front of the 205, turns out its quite a bit lower than the other ones, quite plain to see now the struts etc lay on the floor next to the ones of the other car.

back to standard we go ^_^

Get a better trolley jack!

Or just jack the car up slightly on the cill, then the trolley jack will fit.

a better trolley jack? if its no higher than a paving slab when collapsed maybe. I don't like jacking off the sills, good things don't happen there.

I find driving onto some wood or a brick does the trick.

Sorry no pics, didn't see reply til i'd scrubbed up and put everything back on

they'll be off over the weekend again when i do timing belt change (weather permitting) so will try and take some pics then.

That's a pet hate of mine! The car I recently bought was ridiculous! I had to get two of my mates to lift the car up to slide the jack under! Fu**ing stupid !

Good job I'm going to fit all new suspension. Including what you would call highering springs lmao !

I used to drive on to a 'ramp' of bricks, or extra faf use the 205 jack first as that goes really low.

i just lift the car up a bit with one hand and slide the jack under with the other, when im feeling weak, i use both hands and nudge it under with my foot.
