Door Window Frame Paint Problems

Recommended Posts

Anybody out there with a CTi that has paint peeling off the driver and passenger door black vertical metal frame which separates the front quarterlight from the main window? My paint has all but disappeared and the metal looks like it's aluminium. What would be the best primer and black matt top coat to use?

I'm sure there are better alternatives if you have spraying gear, but any rattle cans should be sufficient - I'd use satin black to match the flitches behind the windows.

Get a bodyshop to use the satin black code that the toyota landcruiser door tops are done with. Thats what all my cars are done with. It's a very good colour and not glossy. There might be a few close ups in my restorstion thread last year that you could have a look at to see it.
