Light Switch

Hi all,

it's that time of year again - MOT time.

Put it in this morning - full of hope as always.

The phone call and ..... Failed

1) n/s steering rack gaiter split - bugger!

and a wierd one which just seemed to have happened on the day. No main beam.

bulbs are OK as it will flash,and driving lights come on. The switch just won't move from Headlamp dipped to full beam - so it looks like the switch has gone a knacker.

Favour time - does any have a light swith (working) that they could bear to part with, I need it pretty quick though

(they're £90 new from the stealers)

ebay is proberbly your best bet, i cant see any reason why you couldnt temporarily buy a switch from maplin, solder it in and affix it to the dash to get you through

Hi again

went over to my local scrapyard on the off chance - (he hasn't had any 205's in for ages) - bugger me he only had 3.

So I wizzed over and got all the console switches (both sides) for £15., just in case.

Fitted one of them this lunch time - AOK. So just the gaiter to replace.

Pheewww...!

PS I was going to cut a full set of bolster patterns out today but I got distracted.
