Driving Light Wireing

Recommended Posts

wah

Recently purchased a 1.9 GTI at some point somebody has butchered the the wireing and fitted a seperate switch to turn the front lower driving lights on and off at will, however I want to put it back to it's original state where they come on with the main beam however can't seem to figure it out, the drivers side is untouched and still has the OEM yellow connector attached, but the passenger side's has been butched and all that remains is the yellow connector running off of the loom with a brown wire runnig to it, and the yellow and green wire is now connected up to this other switch loom.

What I am after is knowing how the OEM set up powered the lights before hand as when I put a multi meter across the butched brown and green wires on the passenger side I get no power, maybe I'm thinking this out wrong so if anybody can help please do as I'm close to pulling my hair out lol

The driving lights are originally powered only when the column stalk is pulled or latched back for full beam.
