Hi, i'm preparing to make a DIY head work on my 1.6.

I've read everything in the forum about it, but couldn't find an answer for my doubts.

I have something that seems to be the peugeot Group A head work spec, and they cut the valve guide by the port line, if you know what i mean.

My question is: Do you guys think is to agressive to cut the valve guide, or should i do it?

Thank's in advance!

Flushing the guide is fine, however on my race head I kept the guide but bulleted it and removed the guide boss material around it.

Choice is yours really, however most modified heads leave the guides proud but tapered. Like peter said it wont gain that much really and it will comprimise the valve train.
