hi everyone,

 

just wondering about something. i had someone come and look at my car to buy it and when out on a road test he mentioned that he used to have a 205 1.4 xs and that was quicker than mine. i have noticed that my car isn't very quick and that it's flat upto 4000rpm.

 

just wondered if anyone had any ideas where i can start to try and make it quicker.

 

oh it's a 1987 205 1.6 gti

when was the last time you serviced it. one of my old car was a bit slow gave it a full service inc fuel filter, dizzy cap, rotar arm and redex and that seemed to pick it up alot it felt like a new car.

don't know as i havn't had it long. i'll do that 2moz. i had a 1.6 before and it isn't as quick as that and it's got more done it. it's a bit dissapointing.

no worries buddy worth while doing it then you can rule that out if it's not that. that's about as technical as i can get failing that chuck some money at it and shout loudly at it that sometimes helps
