Cant Set Up 106 Wiper Motor On My 205

Hi all,

 

I have just put my 106 wiper motor on my 205 gti and can't seem to set it up so that it works.

 

I have put the wipers in the "off" position and flick the wiper on and the wipers go off the window screen and then stop in the middle of the screen, so i adjust them accordingly and then the wipers try to wipe my bonnet arrgh,

 

What am I doing wrong?

Connect the motor without the arm attached, turn you ignition on and let the motor return to the position. Turn ignition of, connect motor and all should be good

 

Or, the wiper mechanism is on the wrong way on the spline......
