Gti 6 Temp Sender V Gti Temp Sender

Recommended Posts

locosaki

I've done a quick search but couldn't come across an answer.

I've got a 6 sender in my sump and I'm wondering if there is any difference between the gti sender and the gti6 sender ?

Does the 6 sender shows a higher temp on the 205 gauges as my oil temp is pretty high on road use or do people usually just keep the original 6 sender in the sump when installing the engine in the 205 ?

Cheers

The later sender does

Jusr curious if it's worth spending £20 buying another sender if it doesn't alter the reading on the gauge ?

o right wasnt sure of that. as far as i know the 6 sender does make it read quite high, same as the coolant temp one does

Excellent mate,

I might try the new temp sensor then,That would certainly explain why my oil temp was 110 degrees after a quick blast !!

I've fitted the sensor a few people recommended on here :P

and my oil temp only moves on the gauge after a real good thrashing, then it only goes upto first line and drops down to nothing as soon as you back off the throttle <_<

So I would stick with Gti6 sensor :(
