Hi guys and gals just thought i get some opinions on which is better and easier to do.

lower the radiator to avoid contact with inlet manifold or move it forward and by how much?

I also have uprated lower gearbox and upper engine mounts with these fitted will i need move radiator at all?

ps engine is sitting at coorect angle with modified exhaust manifold to clear bulkhead

mi16 or gti6?

i moved mine to the other side of the front panel to make room for my inlet. had to fit a slim fan though and mod the mounts for the grille.

may be easier to lower it in the original position. move it about about and see what fits best

If you're running with a standard plenum inlet, modify the cowling to move the radiator forward slightly. Don't personally see much reason to do the extra work to lower the radiator in this situation.

If you're running carbs or throttle bodies, it's probably worth the extra time to lower the radiator to allow cool air to the trumpets, rather than hot air off the back of the radiator.

I came across this and viewed it as a quick fix so I could chuck the rad in as I was busting to take the car out for a spin - although very happy with how it works and the clearance it gives.

Depends on your circumstances but for my rally car on standard injection lowering the rad was not a sensible option - and this still gives me a good gap between bumper and fan\cooler.
