Recommended Posts

Hi,,, went for a little play today in my gti, but was getting the red stop lamp on the dash when cornering hard... All levels ok, and no other lights came on and engine ran fine.....

Any ideas folks......

Are you sure the oil level is OK? Did the oil pressure gauge drop at the same time the STOP light came on?

Does the brake fluid also use this light too?

Nope. Only low oil pressure and high coolant temp trip the STOP light on a 205 :D

Low brake fluid only activates the handbrake lamp.

cheers Anthony,,,,,

didn't notice any gauges moving,,, would this light be normal if you gave the car a blast on corners or do you think I need to look into it further....

Will have to drive it again later and check if gauges move...
