Ma Gearbox Selector

i have been talking to stu_woac about fitting a metal gearbox selector from the newer type MA boxes into my rallye box which has a plastic selector. Has anybody else felt a difference between the two i.e less sloppy?

I think i remember Miles saying that he fitted a metal selector to my gearbox when he rebult it. It seems to shift a bit nicer but it was ages since i drove it so hard to make a comparison.

I rebuilt mine with new plastic tips on the selector forks when the first lot fell off and on the next rebuild (by Skip Brown) the selectors were replaced with brass forks, can't say I noticed any difference, but at least they haven't worn out....
