Changing Wheel Size, Speedo Out

I'm changing my wheels to some Image 3 peice splits.. Theyre 13", and ill be running 50 profile at the most, So my speedo will be horribly out..

 

is there any way to sort of.. get the speedo back in sync? i dont wanna be off the clock when im doing 30 past a speed camera, If you get what i mean

The speedo reading is generally done by changing worm and drives on the gearbox and driveshaft. However I have had a speedo unit that under read once when I changed the gearbox to a longer one and when I swapped it for another clock unit it read the correct speed, so I deduce there is some difference between clock sets. Unfortunately I cannot verify if the difference is between 1.6, 1.9, early or late models etc so I can't offer any further advice

Not sure if the Pug clocks can be calibrated

Do what we all do. Put a sat nav in there, learn the speeds relative to RPM in different gears then just work off of that. Easy

I don't know about anyone else but my speedo varies massively from day to day.

Haha, yeah sometimes i'm achieving 5mph when sat on the drive
