Clutch Issues Hard To Get In Gear

ive used the search but not found what i need. took the car out yesterday and after giving it some, it was hard to get into 1st gear, infact 1st 2nd and 3rd when stopped, 4th a bit stiff but 5th just slots in, drove home and its fine whilst driving, doesnt slip (turbo'd running about 200bhp) but as soon as you try to get it in lower gears its a fight lol clutch has only maybe done 500-1000miles but the cable is due changed, the end past the 1st nut snapped off when i fitted the clutch a while ago and i cant get the nut to budge to adjust it. so my question is, will a new cable, correctly adjusted fix my problem? thanks

sounds like the clutch is not fully dis-engaging then TBH

Adjust the clutch and it should be OK. Also make sure your engine to gearbox bolts are in and tight.

i'll get a new cable on and report back i have had the loose gearbox bolt problem in the past, whats that all about lol got some thread lock on now but i'll double check
