Carb Set Up

ive got my carb fule presure regultor set up for a `1.6 gti on my `1.9 does it matter? does the `1.9 need a bigger presure?

I don't think it should need more pressure no... It might need more fuel but that wil be controlled by the jets in the carb.

 

What carbs are you running??

it should be around 5 bar I think regardless so should be fine.

Hi all :) im running 45's and ive looked up jets ect in book and there not to far off. The only thing is that the presure reg was set up for a 1.6 i think he said it was on 3psi but was set up properly on the rollers. Got the carbs running ok then go to fit ignition megajolt and it misses and dies under load a few peeps says it sounds like fule stavation so i was wondering if the presure regulator wasent at a high enough presure?

As said, i think the pressure is set to suit the pump, about 5 psi aprox.
