Replacement Panel For Sunroof

Does anyone have any ideas or previous experience with this as i dont like sunroofs full stop lol

i've used 2mm steel plate over mine, i cut it to the correct size so i could use the old securing screws to secure it. and then put some decent sealant in between the car and the plate.

i tried removing my sunroof the other day but gave up as i couldnt figure out how to remove it from the roof skin without warping it???

justremove all plastic trim, then remove all screws, then remove glass. and then all other panels.

its a britax one? must be std i dont know but i have removed all the trim, about a million screws and obviously the glass but the frame is bonded to the roof skin by the look of it?

might be a bodged anti leak effort i suppose, but mine wasnt bonded at all IIRC

Here is my effort from a few years back.

 

Its an alloy sheet cut to shape from the old group buy, its bonded with flexible sealer then the whole roof was painted, the holes towards the rear were filled aswell.
