I've just completely rebuilt my engine and also put a piper cam in and a few other light modifications like superchips ecu, pipercross filter, just wondered whats the best brand, grade and spec of oil to put in the old girl, cheers.

If you don't do it, cam will be scrap.

As soon as you start car, get revs up to 2.5k.

If car gets hot or you want to break to check anything, it's not an issue so long as you kill engine straight off. Then when restart straight back up to 2.5k revs.

Helps to have someone else keeping an eye under the engine bay whilst you doing this.

I would also ensure plenty of cam lube over it, and that you've got plenty of oil in the engine.
