Header Tank Part Enquiry

Did a search, can someone tell me if part number 130353 "Degassing tank" is correct for my car, Peugeot parts assured me it was but the picture on the screen looked a bit like a phase 1 bottle.

Hard to say, for the 205 GTI it shows the same one for pre & post 91 but if you need the black one its listed under the XUD7T as 1303.73.

Thanks for the reply mine is non ABS so im guessing .53 is correct as he said.

1303.53 appears to be the earlier one like you said (its listed for both pre & post 91 mod), the one listed as for the XUD7T shows the correct phase 2 black header tank with the level sensor underneath which is what is fitted to my 90 phase 2 GTI.

 

Which do you presently have fitted?

 

S33GAV is selling a black one now for £3 iirc.

Bugger! thanks ill look into getting that second hand one from S33GAV, this will be almost £50 that ive had blown because Peugeot insisted it was a correct part, this and a sensor a few months back serves me right for not checking beforehand.

Bugger, its a phase 1 tank with the level sensor at the top Im assuming this wont work with mine?

It's a long shot........ but is there anyway my incorrect tank (1303.53) could be adapted to work? Are the sensors the same?

Sensors are completely different & wiring to the plug differs as well.

 

Phase 2's have three wires to the plug & the earlier ones just the two.

I bought a clear one. I think it was listed as a diesel. It's the Phase 2, clear header tank.

 

If i find the part number i will post it.

Yep, I've got the right one now, much better, might be changing the water hoses on mine, anybody know how much they are from Pug? £170 seems a bit steep (bbm)
