Obey_R 23 Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) Well I need to get the rust sorted on the 205 pretty soon - before it gets any worse. I've attached links at the bottom but this is really an appeal to any welders or people 'in the know' who could tell me what a good price is for getting it sorted. Basically, the driver side quater panel is the worst bit - it has come away from the body up to the wheel horizontal trim and really needs replacing. You can see from the photo's that the sill will need patching up (I don't think it will need replacing, maybe even grinding down and filling?) and the q/panel will need to be chopped off at the trim and a new bit put on. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/458661..._51a887da09.jpg I'm not sure of how much of the inner arch will need work either? I have had a local mechanic tell me it's 15-20 hours work, but because he is starting up on his own (I know he does good work) it will only be £10 p/h plus materials. I didn't think this was too bad as it would have to be done in my driveway. Sorry for the long-winded post, look forward to hearing any opinions! Ross. I didn't pay much more than that to get it, but the engines sweet as a nut and I'm in no rush to get it done - planning on taking things slowely and just doing bits as I can afford them so I'm not really too bothered if it is going to work out a few hundred more expensive than buying an already good shell...
