Speedo Sensor For Gti6 Conversion

Can i plug in my original speedo cable to the original sensor in my 1.9 box and just have an electrical speedo sensor secured somewhere with it plugged into my loom? will the car run correctly

Might aswell have no speed sensor at all,cause sensor thats not turning/in gearbox will not be sending signal to ECU anyway

Ive already purchased one off a guy on here which he has failed to send so far so im looking for other options as i need the car on the road asap!! im just wondering if the car will run correctly without the electrical speedo sensor connected??

What a pain in the arse.

 

If you use the electric VSS sensor (speedo sensor) off the GTI6 it will work, but you will have no speedo. Wouldn't use the 205 one as the ecu won't be getting the right signals at low speed.

Yes the car will run and drive OK but not quite 100% at slow speed, You'll find it comes on cam as such in the mid range

I sent you the first drive and MAP straight away, but you never said you wanted the dual drive item. You even accused me of sending the wrong GTI6 MAP sensor too, which I didn't; it was correct.

 

I am posting you the correct speedo drive item on Monday, now you've sent me a picture and described it better, which I had to take off a gearbox of mine in Cornwall which is 4.5 hours away from my home.

 

Calm yourself and choose your words more carefully on a public forum, or just use PM. I have replied to your PM, asking you to resend your address.

 

Maybe you could say 'lol' a bit more??
