hi i have the chance of buying a low mile 306 with this engine fitted

am i right on thinking this is the same engine the black top saxo vtr came with 90 bhp

would it be woth my while swapping the engine to my 205

and could i just use my carb and inlet(take it the carb needle will need drilled out)

is there much weight difference between the engines?

I would have thought it best to keep the Rallye standard given the rare nature of them standard now. I would have thought they can only increase in value the more that get modified and changed, especially given the number that have likely been scrapped.

richard you have to remember that the engine you might be putting in has a fuel injected head. to keep her on carbs you would have to buy a custom inlet manifold ,blank injectors etc etc ,its easiest for you to keep it on carbs as wiring can be a pain. will drop in no bother.

the tu5jp is a quite interesting engine. with some headwork and a better camshaft, you'll have a good engine with electronic injection. torque is also very nicefor a tu engine.
