205 Gti6 Water Pipes Hook Up

Hey folks ive got all my water hoses hooked up in my 205 but im not 100% sure they are correct!! the hoses are custom bbm ones so ive got the top one coming out of the heater matrix which comes along hooking up into the bottom of the header tank and then goes into the metal water pipe that runs along the back of the gti6 block!

The second hose comes out the bottom of the heater matrix and runs along and into the thermostat housing! ive had a look at a diagram since ive fitted them and the diagram shows my hoses to be round the wrong way! it says my header tank hose should go straight to the thermostat housing and the other hose goes to the metal waterpipe at the back of the block. does it matter what way they go?
