Help Removing Tailgate Plastic Panel

Hi any advice please on removing the palstic panel from the tailgate, I will also need to change the badge fro a GT to my GTI badge. I've not done it before so don't want to break anything.

take the badges off, these hide the clips

Theres clips hidden behind the badges, also you need to remove the boot handle/lock (c clip inside tailgate), then just slide the trim down and it should come off

daed easy to do the clips just slide sideways off the the little rivet things i was furtunate and did not have to remove boot lock just be carefull when you put the clips back on not to scratch the plastic like me after i just painted them DOH good old permanant marker took care of the bodge job lol

Once you have done the above it should just slide downwards, do not pull it towards you else the plastic edgings will break.
