I just don't think its worth the risk with things like insurance.

I am always straight with my insurance as it isn't worth the risk. If you are uninsured then you can get sued and then everyone is out on the street.

 

However there are so many people bending the rules, it does make you wonder. The 1.9 with a 1.6 logbook is surely double fraud with failing to notify the DVLA of a change to the vehicle and providing false information to your insurer, therefore rendering your cover null and void (unless you have stated it as a modification).

i've always told my insurance the truth, the only places that i have 'bent rules' are not declaring my full milage, they never ask for the start milage so im ok, and i can always say that most of those miles were put on by someone else driving it, covered by their own policy. thats it realy
