Burning Oil

My 205 is burning oil whilst idling, it can idle for about 10 seconds then starts smoking quite badly, and gradually gets worse. If i put the revs up to about 2000 it stops, and it doesnt smoke at all whilst moving. The engine is an XU10J2TE from a Citroen XM

 

My guess was turbo seals but i was hoping not..

Quite possibly the valve stem oil seals.

most likely the turbo i'd say.. but difficult to know.

 

PS: i'd say the turbo is the easiest fix to be honest!

My N/A 1.9 does exactly this, I was under the impression it was the valve stem oil seals
