Sunroof Cable

Just been reading up on the sunroofs as mine didn't hiss when I opened it, but had no problem with leaking. Anyway, it turns out it does hiss when the engine on...

 

But, just now when I went to open the sunroof there was a snap when it was half open and the cable has come away from the handle - however I can see where it was meant to attach in the first place? It looks as if it goes to the left side of the handle, but there's nothing to hook the metal bit over? Unless it's pinged into the footwell that is...

 

Could someone post a photo or explain where the clip on the cable is meant to attach to the handle?

Hey - have you had a look at the picture on your thread about the sunroof handle nuts ? Top of p. 2 is the servicebox diagram - does that help at all ? I guess you've already looked at that !

Yeah there's not really anything on there. By the looks of the metal thing on the end of the cable there should be a small plastic lug that it clips onto, but there's nothing on my handle!
