Have I Been Dumb Or Got A Bargain?

Recommended Posts

my gearbox is away with Miles at the moment getting re-built so on the lookout for all the parts I need when putting it back in. Have a 1.9 MI and BE3 box. Got a BE3 Clutch cable and pedal set to get rid of my horrific BE1 set up, and then started to look for a clutch. Now me being me, always like to look for a bargain wherever possible so flicked through ebay and came across this.

Peugeot 405 Mi16 1.9 Clutch Kit ---NEW---

1 Brand New Valeo Clutch Kit

Includes : Cover & Plate

Applications

Peugeot 405 Mi16 (Release fork with ball pivot), 10/1988-07/1989

215mm x 18 Spline

All sounded good to me but the buy it now price was only £25 plus £10 delivery and as we know the Valeo from europarts costs around the £92 mark.

So I thought I'll take a chance, however when it's arrived I think everything looks good, but there are no part no's on the clutch or plate assy. that I recognise. So I thought I know a bunch of decent gents that woud put me right!!!!!!!!!

Anyway here's the pics, the diameter is 215mm and it looks the same as the one in the Valeo on-line catalogue but if someone would confirm that this is what I think it is A Valeo 1.9 Mi16 clutch?

Sorry i've just spent 5 minutes waiting for them to load.

It looks identical to the MI16 clutch I used for my 6' conversion, don't have the clutch out of the car so can't check numbers.
