hi im in the middle of stripping my spare alloy block mi 16 engine

just going to be using it for weekend blasts and some track day fun

i have started buying various parts and have some spares left over from my other mi engine

i have new water pump

t/belt and pulleys

16 near new hydrallic buckets

new small end bearings

new big end bearings

new arp conrod bolts

new set of billet cams (fast road) have to check durations and lifts again for more info

shortened inlet manifold

baffeled sump and extended pick up

thinking all i need is internal and head work now and cam pulleys(also might be looking for lsd diff)

I have 2500k left to spend inluding the build and shipping

any sugestions welcome (and who for the build as dont trust any one up this way) im in sunny Scotland

im also going down the boddie and manegment route but once i have saved my pennies again

thanks all

Sounds like a great build with all the right ingredients.

What kind of baffle are you planning to use and is it the "peter T" oil pump extention you got?

I´ve got a similat engine running on 45 webers, but I´m struggeling with the oil pressure.

The only 'head work' you need is to pressure test it, blend in triple-cut valve seats, insert new valve stem seals, chase out all threads for manifold studs and prep the surface for mating with the block.

No flowing or porting required.

There's nothing wrong with cleaning up any manufacturing anomalies, but the head straight from the factory will flow sufficiently for 250bhp, so it's actually very difficult to improve upon. Nothing wrong with trying, but personally I wouldn't bother.

It's been discussed in other threads quite a bit. Search for '+Mi16+porting' and see what you get.
